In 1973, La Loma was founded one block west of our current location in a small brick home. Initially owned by a local Denver family, Sonny Brinkerhoff dined there often, and fell in love with the authentic Mexican cuisine.
In 1981, Sonny Brinkerhoff and William Brinkerhoff opened the new location at 26th and Alcott. The current restaurant was structured out of three homes from the late 1800s. These homes were united together to create the Colonial, the Victoria, and the Cantina. Sonny and William continued to develop the restaurant creating a menu comprised of Tex Mex, tastes of the Southwest, and award winning Mexican recipes. Throughout the years the Brinkerhoff’s have continued to operate La Loma, evolving it into the Denver landmark it is today.
We look forward to seeing you!
